A thousand apologies!

You all know how I hate to be late for an event. So the readers who stood around waiting for me at the Toadstool Bookshop this morning must have wondered why I didn’t show up at 10 AM as everyone expected. I did get there … around noon, by which time everyone had left, no doubt disappointed and (understandably) miffed.

It was my fault. I thought it was a drop-in signing, and didn’t expect that readers would actually be there waiting for me to arrive at a particular time.

If you were one of those disappointed readers, please email me. I want to apologize to you personally.

And I promise — I’ll make sure I get the details right from now on.

    Hi Tess,

Just so there will be at least one entry to this blog……….. hey, S**t happens. But it’s nice that you apologized to your fans. That shows the high level of class that you have.

Can I pretend I was a reader who showed up? Even though the Toadstool is on the opposite side of the country from where I live – and I was out of town anyhow. 🙂

No worries Tess, I’m sure the breakdown in communication was not just your issue.

I’m sure that the fans at the Toadstool will understand.

On a positive note. You went to the Clayton Book Store in Clayton, California and my friend went and got the chance to sit during your lecture. She owns one of the shops right down from the Book Store and knew how much I enjoy every one of your books. She mailed me a signed copy of “The Keepsake” …thank you! She found you to be very interesting and is looking forward to reading one of your books. I just wish I was still living there so that I could have been there too!

I hope the rest of the Book Tour goes smoothly.
