Hollywood Reporter has just announced the news.
I am cautiously optimistic. (One must always be cautious when it comes to Hollywood.)
Tess Gerritsen left a successful practice as an internist to raise her children and concentrate on her writing. She gained nationwide acclaim for her first novel of medical suspense, the New York Times bestseller Harvest. She is also the author of the bestsellers Life Support, Bloodstream, Gravity, and The Surgeon. Tess lives with her family in Maine.

I hope this works out! I’d love to see a live-action version of Rizzoli/Isles. I just submitted my review of The Keepsake to Curled Up With a Good Book (it hasn’t posted yet, so no link), but it was definitely another great novel.
One question you may not have the answer to, though. How does this kind of thing affect the ongoing book series? Isn’t “Bones” based on Kathy Reichs’ books? Do the TV series and the book series automatically go down divergent paths, like Elizabeth George’s “Lindley” series did in the UK, where the TV series became a separate continuity?

I just saw this on TV Tattle. I watched Angie Harmon in the Women’s Murder Club (based on James Patterson’s books) so I’ll check her out on here. I’m fairly used to the separation of books to television so I’ll take it for what it is and see how it goes. Hope it goes well though!
