Off on the road again

Tuesday, Oct 23rd, 2007 @ 07:04 pm

I’ll be gone for awhile, on the road this week in Massachusetts and NH.  Next weekend, I’ll be appearing at the Maine Literary Festival  (www.maineliteraryfestival.com)  and then I’ll be traveling to Germany and Switzerland, where I’ll be apearing in Zurich, Munich, Berlin, Hannover and Hamburg on book tour.  I trust everyone will behave themselves while I’m gone.

Behave? No way! Road trip!! LOL I’ll see you in MA. I’ll be the one in the nerd glasses in the back of the room. You know, the silent, quiet one. ;)

    Hi Tess!
Are you coming to Sweden someday? Not Stockholm, everything happens there (the capital), but please come to Göteborg (Gothenburg), the 2nd biggest city in Sweden.

    Hi Tess,

Behave? I don’t change for no one. But seriously, enjoy your road trips and don’t worry about your faithful fans. We’ll all be here when you get back.

AHHHH. You’re coming to Germany? Hannover is just around the corner from where I live. Where can I find more details? I’m just pretty excited here.

Have fun in Germany and we’ll look forward to your UK tour in January. Woohhoo. As to behaving well thats another matter, especially when I have these reprobates to lead me onto the path of temptation. LOL

Out of curiosity though whats happening with the Tess Gerritsen forum as I think theres two of us signed up currently (access it from the UK site) and theres nothing there.

    THanks

Flying back and forth from LA to Boston this past week I saw *several* people sitting, standing and reclining in airports with The Bone Garden. Does it feel weird to see someone reading your work? And have you ever had a reader recognize you while you’re on the road?

“Women who BEHAVE never make HISTORY”

It’s on a plaque my daughter gave me. :)

I’m in a position where I can’t afford to misbehave. That’s probably why I let the characters I write about act very badly at times!

  10. Rose-Marie says:

Behave? Moi? Surely you jest. (Hmmmm, is “behave” code for “be sure to buy The Bone Garden” — preferably right now?)

I’m really jealous of your European tour, Tess! We’ll be missing you!

Tell Gary Braver and Matthew Pearl I said HI (I’m actually seeing Matt today, he’s doing my writers group a huge favor! But I haven’t seen Gary since Maui, so definitely at least him! :-D )!

    Have fun!!!

Well, despite the romance novel overtones, Bone Garden is a hell of a good book, probably your best. Lots of fascinating twists and turns, and intricate, blood-lubricated pieces smoothly fitted together. I enjoyed the unexpected humorous part, too—after a woman gives a mini-lecture on how women could be healers as good as men are, we learn from one that women can also be just at being killers.
