Come around the world with me

Thursday, Apr 5th, 2007 @ 07:40 pm

Among the comments in my last blogpost was a fun one by Wendy Roberts, suggesting a collage of my books on location around the world.  Since I can’t lie on a beach in the Maldives, I’d love to see a photo of my book there — or anywhere else in the world.  So email me a photo of yourself and one of my books — any edition — and I’ll post it here!  Instead of going around the world with a garden gnome, we’ll do it with my books.  Be sure to tell me your name (if you want it posted) as well as your location.  And if you want to appear here, let’s see your face as well in the photo!

Here, from Ali in Ireland, is the first photo:

    What a cool idea!

I’m going to take one today… unfortunately it’s all rainy here in Sydney (for once) so it might not turn out all that good.

It would be so cool to see the accumulation of pictures at the end!! (=

Hey, that sounds like a fabulous idea! Imagine the collection of photos from all over the world of your books. You get a photo of lovely Singapore. I’ll find a nice spot and snap one when the sun’s not too sunny today.

Hey! How ’bout we see how many countries we can get as well as how many states in the U.S. we can get? Huh?

NewMexicanAnn, another cool idea! Let’s see how many countries/states we can get snapshots of!

Thats sounds like a wonderful idea. I’ll send you a photo from Sisak, the town in Croatia in a next day or so. :)

Oh, I’ve done this before for an author. Mine may be late though. I like to take all my photos in front of the White House, but I’m not going into the city any time soon. It’s not as exotic as some of the other locations though.

What a great idea, I’ll definitely do that. ;)
I won’t be in the photo though!

  9. I’m Canadian so think I will take The Surgeon up to parliament with me and then you can see one of your books on Parliament Hill!

  10. What a thrill to see my name in your blog post LOL. Now that I’ve recovered (and stopped squealing), I guess I’d better get out my Tess books and my camera …

I’m desperately trying to think of somewhere to take the photo where it shows something truly South Africa – I’m a bit far from a game reserve!

If it weren’t for the fact I’d have to walk up to the lighthouse in Byron Bay, I’d have taken one there. You can drive, but that would require a car, and a License. I guess I could have taken one out to the Blues Festival, and thrown it at someone. However, it was raining all during the Blues Fest weekend.
